CaliVita® presents Slim Formula to people working on body weight management who want to complement their diet with plant ingredients and chromium. The tablets contain garcinia, nopal, also known as prickly pear cactus, green tea extract, ginger, fennel, and turmeric, as well as L-carnitine and lecithin. L-carnitine takes part in moving fats inside cells, while lecithin supplies components used to build their thin outer membranes. Garcinia provides HCA, an acid naturally found in the fruit of this plant, which the manufacturer associates with appetite management. CaliVita® presents nopal to people following a diet aimed at reducing body weight. Half of the garcinia extract is HCA, and ninety-five per cent of the green tea extract consists of polyphenols, natural plant compounds. This guaranteed content is called standardisation. It tells us how much of these compounds is in a serving, rather than just the weight of the extract. Three tablets provide three hundred milligrams of nopal and one hundred and fifty micrograms of chromium. Chromium helps the body process carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and maintain normal blood glucose levels. CaliVita® recommends one tablet three times a day.
